Blissful Kittens

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is very important to us. Accordingly, we have developed this policy in order for you to understand how we collect, use, communicate and make use of personal information. The following outlines our privacy policy.

When accessing the https://blissfulkittens.com website, we will learn certain information about you during your visit.

Similar to other commercial websites, our website utilizes a standard technology called "cookies" (see explanation below) and server logs to collect information about how our site is used. Information gathered through cookies and server logs may include the date and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at our site, and the websites visited just before and just after our own, as well as your IP address.

Use of Cookies

A cookie is a very small text document, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier. When you visit a website, that site's computer asks your computer for permission to store this file in a part of your hard drive specifically designated for cookies. Each website can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser's preferences allow it, but (to protect your privacy) your browser only permits a website to access the cookies it has already sent to you, not the cookies sent to you by other sites.

IP Addresses

IP addresses are used by your computer every time you are connected to the Internet. Your IP address is a number that is used by computers on the network to identify your computer. IP addresses are automatically collected by our web server as part of demographic and profile data known as "traffic data" so that data (such as the Web pages you request) can be sent to you.

Email Information

If you choose to correspond with us through email, we may retain the content of your email messages together with your email address and our responses. We provide the same protections for these electronic communications that we employ in the maintenance of information received online, mail and telephone. This also applies when you register for our website, sign up through any of our forms using your email address or make a purchase on this site. For further information see the email policies below.

How Do We Use the Information That You Provide to Us?

Broadly speaking, we use personal information for purposes of administering our business activities, providing customer service and making available other items and services to our customers and prospective customers.

Blissful Kittens will not obtain personally-identifying information about you when you visit our site, unless you choose to provide such information to us, nor will such information be sold or otherwise transferred to unaffiliated third parties without the approval of the user at the time of collection.

We may disclose information when legally compelled to do so, in other words, when we, in good faith, believe that the law requires it or for the protection of our legal rights.

Third-Party Services We Use

To operate Blissful Kittens, we share the minimum information necessary with the following service providers. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

  • Supabase — our database, authentication, and file-storage provider.
  • Google's Gemini API — generates AI-assisted writing, translations, research, and marketing copy across the app's generators, and powers the Course Coach chat assistant.
  • Anthropic (Claude) and Google Gemini, via your own API key — if you connect your own Claude or Gemini key for the Writing Coach & Editor feature, your manuscript text is sent directly to whichever provider you chose, using your own key, for that feature only.
  • ElevenLabs — generates AI voice narration if you use the Audiobook Creator; requires your own ElevenLabs account and API key.
  • Stripe — processes all payments; we never see or store your full card number.
  • Amazon Web Services (SES) — sends transactional emails such as receipts and account notifications.
  • Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive — only if you choose to connect one, as described below.

Personal Cloud Storage (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive)

If you choose to connect a personal Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive account, Blissful Kittens requests only the minimum access needed to save your own generated content into your own storage:

  • Google Drive: the drive.file scope, which only grants access to files and folders this app itself creates — never blanket access to the rest of your Drive.
  • Dropbox: access scoped to a single dedicated app folder created for Blissful Kittens only.
  • OneDrive: access scoped to this app's own dedicated app folder, never your full OneDrive.

We store an access token and refresh token for whichever provider you connect, used solely to sync your own manuscript files and generated audiobook audio into your own connected storage. We never read, modify, or access any files outside what this app itself creates in that dedicated folder. You may disconnect this access at any time from Profile → Connected Services, or directly from your provider's own account security settings — disconnecting deletes the stored tokens from our systems immediately.

Advertising & Analytics

We use the following tools to understand how the site is used and to measure our own advertising:

  • Google Analytics — website usage statistics.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel — measures the effectiveness of our Facebook/Instagram advertising.
  • Microsoft Clarity — session-replay and heatmap analytics.

None of these tools are used to sell your personal information. You can control cookie-based tracking through your browser's own privacy settings, or opt out of Google Analytics using Google's official browser add-on.

Your Privacy Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are located in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or the State of California, you have certain rights over your personal information, including the right to know what we've collected, access a copy of it, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, and (EU/UK) object to certain processing or receive your data in a portable format.

We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so no "opt-out of sale" mechanism is required.

To request deletion of your account and data, or to exercise any of these rights, email us at . We will verify your request and respond within 30 days.
